The President’s Message
Dear Colleagues
On behalf of the board of directors of the Iranian Society of Nephrology (IrSN), it is my honor to welcome you to the 19th International Congress of Nephrology, Dialysis and Transplantation (ICNDT).
During the past decades, the board of directors of the IrSN has relentlessly tried to achieve its educational goals. In this path, in addition to establishing bi-monthly scientific meetings and biennial national congresses, we have tried to accomplish this mission by holding the ICNDT every 2 years, with scientific lectures by authorities in different fields of Nephrology, Dialysis, and Transplantation from Iran and all over the world, as well as holding various theoretical and hands-on workshops during the ICNDT events.
We have persuaded the Iranian young nephrologists by giving them the opportunity to present the results of their latest investigations and awarding the best presentations, as well as the support of young nephrologists of our country and the region for free participation in the congress.
The abstract book of this congress has been and will be published as a supplemental issue of our journal, i.e., the Iranian Journal of Kidney Diseases (IJKD), which is a well-known scientific journal with an impact factor of 1.28, and the lectures will be broadcasted online and be available on our website, same as the preceding years.
This time our meeting will be held city of Tehran, the beautiful capital of Iran, which owns the highest-rank medical universities in Iran. We are pleased to host a large group of nephrologists, transplant surgeons, pediatric nephrologists, immunologists, and internists from the country and abroad, as our speakers and audience. We hope that this event will be a pleasant environment for knowledge sharing as well as networking of the nephrology and transplant community.
On behalf of the IrSN board of directors, I would like to invite and welcome your participation in this phenomenal event and thank you and all of our outstanding Iranian and international guest speakers for their great contribution to ICNDT 2023.

The Secretary-General's Message
Dear colleagues and friends
We are very happy to be able to welcome all of you to the 19th International Congress of Nephrology, Dialysis and Transplantation (ICNDT) by the Iranian Society of Nephrology, which will be held on 12-15th Dec 2023, in Tehran, Iran, in order to combine the magnificent history of this region and nephrology science together.
The aim of this congress is knowledge sharing to further improve kidney disease prevention and increase the quality of life of patients by providing updates on the clinical assessment and treatment of various pathologic conditions. Combining history and dedication has shaped our Society in its 30-year commitment to reducing the burden of chronic kidney disease in Iran. Education and science are the strong pillars of the Iranian Society of Nephrology, including this biennial congress. This meeting will be an excellent opportunity to meet experts and peers from around the world, in addition to Iranian scientists, and to share ideas and best practices. Built on seven main themes of acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, renal replacement therapy including transplantation, dialysis and CRRT, glomerulonephritis, kidney pathology, transplant immunology, and POCUS in nephrology, these scientific sessions will bring you the latest science and broad international perspectives on these topics.
Finally, we thank you for attending the 19th ICNDT that will take place in a hybrid mode (both live and virtual) in Tehran, Iran.
